Have you ever organized a Silent Auction? Are you excited to help the Eurofest BC Society help run this event, so they can cover their operating costs and maybe even have a little bit left over for the big outdoor 2020 event that is already being planned for next year?
The Eurofest BC Society will be running a much smaller version of the European Festival at the Vancouver Alpen Club this year. The date is Sunday, May 26, 2019 and the hours are from 11 am to 6 pm. The Opening Ceremony will be at 12 noon, while the Closing Ceremony is at 5:30 pm.
Besides the Silent Auction, we will have a big hall with the cultural tables and European dancing/singing. A variety of pastries will be sold on the balcony overlooking the hall. The vendors will be selling arts and crafts in the lower hall, while the on-site restaurant will be serving delicious food/drink items to tempt your palate. Upstairs, there is a smaller room that will serve as the site of the VIP reception and then as a green room between 1 pm to 5:30 pm, where performers can change and leave their bags.
We are asking companies and businesses to donate gift certificates, gift baskets, event tickets, bottles of wine/champagne or restaurant vouchers, so that winners can enjoy a dinner out.
If you can help organize this event, please send us your name, background, level of experience, contact information and attend the planning session on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 7 pm in the basement of the St. Mark’s Church. It is located at 1573 East 18th, 2019 between Knight and Victoria.
