Swiss Pre-Christmas Event

On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, the Swiss Canadian Chamber of Commerce held a “Pre-Christmas Reception & Fundraiser Event” downtown.

The event included a panel discussion with Swiss-NHL stars from the Vancouver Canucks and the Nashville Predators.
Vince, the President of the Swiss Chamber invited the guests to join him.

Joey Kenward – the Canucks host on Sportsnet 650 – hosted the panel discussion and the audience was then encouraged to ask questions.

The stars included Sven Baertschi from the Vancouver Canucks, as well as Roman Josi, Kevin Fiala and Yannick Weber from the Nashville Predators.

The Swiss Canadian Chamber of Commerce Member Markus Bill, Board Member Fabian Lemann and Joey Kenward, but most of all Marco Urfer, helped to organize the NHL event.

Sponsors included the KPMG who provided the venue, and many other sponsors and bidders who made the Silent Auction a success.

Consul General of Switzerland in Vancouver, Pascal Bornoz and his wife Elena, as well as Vince Sciamanna were all in attendance.

Also 5 members of the German Canadian Business Association accepted the invitation to attend, including Beatrice Schreiber, the President, Claudia Liebrecht, one of the membership directors, and Elke Porter, the secretary.
