The event includes Wineries from the Benziger Family Winery, Hahn Family Wines, The Hess Collection, LangeTwins Family Winery, Taub Family Vineyards, Wagner Family of Wine, as well as Deinhard/Schloss Johannisberg, Felsengartenkellerei, Henkell & Co. Gruppe – from countries, such as Croatia, France, Germany, Canada, Portugal and the USA.
The Festival started back in 1979 and is now on for the 41st time. Each year, the international festival shines the spotlight on one country or region, and this year, the focus is on California.
Representatives from 160 wineries from 15 countries will travel to Vancouver to pour and discuss their wines at 54 events over 8 days. The festival usually attracts around 25,000 attendees. The main focus is the International Festival Tastings at the Vancouver Convention Centre, where up to 725 wines are available for sampling, with an additional 145 wines available at trade tasting. The room also features regional tasting stations, food suppliers and industry exhibitors.
